Giants pitcher Ryan Vogelsong is National League Player of the Day. Vogelsong pitched seven scoreless innings, striking out six, in the 4-1 win over the Marlins.

Freddie Freeman of the Braves rose to eighth place in Box-Toppers player rankings after earning Sunday’s NL Batter of the Day honors. He earned 1.0 Box-Toppers point Sunday, giving him 4.5 for the season, in 26th place overall, fourth among AL batters.

Gordon receives 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day. Vogelsong receives 1.7 for NL Player of the Day. Freeman receives 1.5 for being NL Batter of the Day.

All of Sunday’s other Players of the Game (listed in the chart below) receive 1.0 Box-Toppers point.
