Astros pitcher Luis Garcia is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Garcia struck out eight over six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, in the 9-3 win over the Indians.

Garcia earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 6.0 for the season, 61st among all players and 22nd among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Chris Taylor of the Dodgers hit two home runs, doubled and went 3-for-4, scoring four times and driving in three runs, in the 8-6 win over the Giants.
