Astros pitcher Justin Verlander is Saturday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to second in season player rankings.

Verlander also regains fifth place on Box-Toppers’ “all-time” career points list, passing Royals pitcher Zack Greinke, who only passed Verlander July 10.

Verlander struck out 10 over six scoreless innings, allowing six hits and no walks, in the 5-0 win over the Athletics.
