Also Tuesday, Riley Greene of the Tigers rises to sixth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings, extending his lead among American League batters, after earning AL Batter of the Day honors.
Other Player of the Game winners Tuesday include Yankees pitcher Will Warren and Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs.
Player of the Day
Yamamoto struck out nine over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks, in the 4-3, 10-inning win over the Diamondbacks. Yamamoto did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Diamondbacks tied the game after he exited.
Yamamoto earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.0 for the season, rising from 10th to third place overall, trailing Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler (9.1) and Mariners pitcher Bryan Woo (8.0 points). Though Woo and Yamamoto both have 8.0 points, Woo ranks higher because he has more 2024 points—11.7 vs. 6.4.
Yamamoto also ranks second among National League pitchers behind Wheeler.
American League Player of the Day
Yankees pitcher Will Warren (5.2IP 5H 0R BB 10K W in the 5-2 win over the Rangers) earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points, giving him 4.4 for the season, 18th among AL pitchers.
National League Batter of the Day
Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs (HR 2B 3-5 3R 4BI in the 14-1 win over the Marlins) earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points, giving him 5.0 for the season, second among NL batters, behind Pete Alonso of the Mets (5.5 points).

American League Batter of the Day
Riley Green of the Tigers (HR 2B 3-4 R 4BI in the 5-4 win over the Cardinals) earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points, giving him 6.5 for the season, rising to sixth place overall.
Greene extends his lead among AL batters ahead of second-place Wilyer Abreu of the Red Sox (5.0 points).
Greene is now the only batter among the overall top 10 players in 2025 Box-Toppers points.
