Also Friday, Red Sox pitcher Tanner Houck rises to fourth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors. Plus, Aaron Judge of the Yankees rises to first place among American League batters in Box-Toppers rankings and Starling Marte of the Mets earns Box-Toppers points in his 13th consecutive season.

Bibee struck out seven over 6 1/3 innings, allowing one run, three hits and one walk, in the 7-1 win over the Nationals.
Bibee earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.0 for the season, sixth among all players and third among AL pitchers, behind Luis Gil of the Yankees (11.7) and Tanner Houck of the Red Sox (8.7).
National League Player of the Day
Braves pitcher Reynaldo Lopez struck out eight over six innings, allowing one run, four hits and two walks, in the 4-2 win over the Athletics.
Lopez earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 5.4 for the season, 27th among all players and 14th among NL pitchers.
National League Batter of the Day
Christian Yelich of the Brewers hit two doubles and went 5-for-6, scoring once and driving in five runs, in the 12-5 win over the White Sox.
American League Batter of the Day
Aaron Judge of the Yankees hit two home runs, including a three-run shot, in the 6-2 win over the Giants. Judge went 3-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs.
Judge earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.5 for the season, 24th among all players and rising to first among AL batters, passing previous leader, Juan Soto of the Yankees (5.5), who falls to second place. Though Judge and Soto both have 5.5 points in 2024, Judge ranks higher because he earned more points in 2023—12.0 vs. 9.0.
