Giants pitcher Robbie Ray is Box-Toppers Player of the Day in Sunday’s spring training games.
Other Player of the Game winners Sunday include Braves pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach, Red Sox pitcher Walker Buehler, Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer, Freddy Fermin of the Royals and Alec Bohm of the Phillies.

The overall 2023 Box-Toppers points leader (13.9) at the All-Star break is the only player to lead his team in both categories. On the other 29 clubs, pitchers have the most Box-Toppers points on 24 teams and batters lead four teams.

Also Saturday, Mets pitcher Max Scherzer rises to third place on Box-Toppers’ “all-time” career points list, passing Pedro Martinez, after earning Player of the Game honors. Scherzer also rises to ninth place on Box-Toppers season player rankings list.
