Cardinals pitcher Jordan Montgomery is Monday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Montgomery pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout, striking out seven and allowing no walks, in the 1-0 win over the Cubs.

Montgomery, who allowed his only hit in the third inning, earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.4 for the season, 42nd among all players and 21st among National League pitchers.
