Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole is Box-Toppers’ top-ranked player over the past two seasons while Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer ranks first in points over the past six seasons.

Cole earned 29.8 Box-Toppers points combined in 2020 and 2021 to lead all players in that span, while Scherzer earned 120.3 from 2016-2021, most in that span.

Padres pitcher Jordan Lyles is Friday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Lyles struck out four over two scoreless innings of middle relief, allowing no hits and no walks, in the 4-1 win over the Astros. Lyles picked up a no-decision and did not earn the win or the save. He pitched the sixth and seventh innings, holding the Padres’ lead, before handing it off to two subsequent relievers.

Astros pitcher Jordan Lyles is Wednesday's Player of the Day. Lyles struck out 10 and allowed no runs over seven innings in the 6-1 win over the Mariners. Lyles left with the game tied 0-0 so was not eligible for the win.

Reds pitcher Mike Leake is National League Player of the Day. Leake allowed only one run over eight innings in the 2-1 win over the Cubs. 

Sterling Marte of the Pirates is NL Batter of the Day. Marte was 4-for-5 with four runs in the 12-8 win over the Giants. 

Clete Thomas of the Twins is American League Batter of the Day. Thomas was 4-for-4 and drove in two runs in the 4-3 win over the Phillies. 

Lyles receives 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day. Leake receives 1.7 for NL Player of the Day. Marte and Thomas each receive 1.5 for being top Batter of the Day in their league.
